This past weekend the always entertaining, sometimes controversial Vice Magazine teamed up with one of the worlds leaders in computing innovations, Intel, and had a baby. They named it, The Creators Project. The project focuses on the young and upcoming generation of artist. They hope to promote the use of the latest developed technology to expand and advance future artistic visions. Held at the Milk Studios in the meat packing district, this epic event included eight floors of workshops, panel discussions, art works, and amazing live performances by artists like M.I.A, Gang Gang Dance, Mark Ronson, and Die Antwoord. Insane!! Insane!!! Insane!! And this was only the BEGINNING of the whole project which continues on through September. So no worries, if you missed it you can just book a quick flight and try to catch the London, Sao Paulo, Seoul, or Beijing events. Or, if you’re like me, and too busy or pretty much too broke you can just check out www.thecreatorsproject.com where they have photos, video footage, and tons of articles about all the rad stuff going down.

A digital séance?! The Digital Flesh was a performance installation where participants who entered a giant cone had their 3D images scanned and added to the organism above the cone. At the final stop of this journey, in Beijing, the digital scan will be birthed into a sequences recreating the persons 3D figure. PRETTY AWESOME if you ask me!!!
